new to riding (SUSSEX)
hi peeps, :?: :?: :!:
i have recently brought a mountain bike to try and loose some fat!! i had been riding bikes untill i obtained my driving license. so i am reasonably confident.
i am looking for some trails to ride around the downs with a bit of a mixture, downhill, uphill, woods, roads and so on. and was wondering if anyone could advise me on good websites i can view to find trails/ routes. or if your local to the downs (ditchling, plumpton) area.
cheers guys

There are quite a few routes starting from Ditchling Beacon, running east or west along the SDW and then dropping south and downhill across the downs, and then looping back up. If you get a 1:25000 OS map you can see all the bridleways which criss-cross the downs - lots of choice! If you head SE from the Beacon down towards Stanmer there's plenty of singletrack through the Great Wood but I imagine it's very slippery at the moment...0
