Hi,

Just moved to this area and wondered if anyone knew of some good spots? I will still be heading back to Danbury and Little Baddow now and then but that would involve throwing the bike in the car and i don't wan to be doing that every weekend or for evening rides when time is at a premium.

Really want to find somewhere i can cycle to pretty quickly, but so far i've only come across footpaths, and no sign of anywhere nearby to ride. Did however spot two guys last week go past the house on their bikes covered in mud, so i'm guessing there is a spot quite close?

Any help much appreicated

Cheers

thanks for your help, but I did check this one out after doing a search but could not find something really close.

I was hoping there was someone who knew of something in close proximity, not a drive away? I will get out and investigate in time but a few mates are coming to me Sunday and i won't have time to explore before then.

Not too sure about it, but what about Norsey woods and surrounding area? Live in Basildon not far off, but my school is opposite Mill Meadows and I think that links on to Norsey Woods :?: Definately worth looking at Norsey woods, however Mill Meadows has a hell of a lot of fences and stiles to climb over if you want a decent stretch.

Best to get the OS out and have a look if no one comes back on this.

hi, i live in mill green near ingatestone...

there are some jumps and some single track through mill green woods whch we are trying to build up, it is rubbish when wet but ok when dry.. they are on the cricketers side of the road...

on the other side near the viper pub there are a lot of bomb holes and some of thew local riders (mostly kids) are in the process of building berms and some small trails

if you have a spade and some will come and dig in!!!
All about the aggregation of marginal gains (or marginal losses, depending on who you are!!)
