yes it will be fine for riding down hill but not for DH.

it is an XC bike and will take what ever you find on an XC trail so some drops etc.

has a poor fork on it and average kit.

I have just bought the 2010 Acid really impressed with it although I do agree with nicklouse that the fork is a bit poor. Although it is pretty standard kit (like most bikes under £800) the frame is the same one as last years LTD so defiantly worth upgrading over time.

If you want a CUBE that does everything buy the Fritzz. It's an AM rig that you can hone into what you like.

decent enough frame, crap fork, reasonable group set. I've had mine for 18mths ands it been done what I need it to, however I did upgrade the forks about 6 months ago.

For generally XC and bashing about its fine, but I certainly wouldnt put in the DH category. I've done trail centres on it and been fine, but as standard it would nt take too much of a hammering beacuse of the Dart 3 fork. first time at Dalby on them was quite painful, and my wrist ached like fcuk afterwards

Congrat's on the purchase, what colour did you get?

I've had mine for about two weeks now and have been thrashing it around the Pentland's near Edinburgh in all weathers with no problems. My only concerns are the smart sams don't offer much grip at this time of year and the Dart 3's will need upgrading sooner rather than later (mainly because they are quiet heavy). I also added some V8's and Lizard skins as I didn't like the standard grip (to small for my hands). I'm off to Glentress next weekend so I'll let you know how it copes.

hopefully going to get out tomorrow looking into places to go around where i live in torbay south devon my only concern was the forks the man in the shop said they were 100mm and when i said about upgradeing them he said it would upset the geometry of the bike( not sure it this is true) the grips seem ok for me as i have only got small hands but im sure i will change few things after i have been out a few times

i chose the black colour by the way was torn between the two colours but gave into the black

let me know how you get on interested to see how you get on

Will do, let me know how you get on also.

Re forks: I'm looking at getting some Recons, although buying any fork that is within 80mm-130mm travel wont alter the geometry too much!

Change the forks to a better quality 100m fork. Not going to upset the geometry then. I put Recons on a few months ago. Much better than the Pogstick 3's

    Hiya

Glad to hear you are getting some miles in, if you want to hook up with one of our shop rides, when we get our finger out and some time to organise them again then let me know.
