Air or coil?

Hi guys
I'm in the nice position of being able to get some new forks. I've had Fox Floats on most of my bikes, but I wondered what the difference would be with Vanillas?
I tend to ride trail and XC. I must say that once I've set the air pressure my floats get left alone apart from lockout adjustments. I have a Zesty with 140 forks.
So I guess my question is - what's the real world "rider feeling" difference between air and coils?
Thanks for any help.

Thanks - sorry for wrong section
So the only advantage of coil is lightness?"it rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again"0 -

Yes, got it. So air would deal with bigger hits better, since it ramps up?
Would each affect normal ride height differently?"it rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again"0 -
It can be easier to set sag with air. They sometimes handle bigger hits easier if you are freqeuntly bottoming out.0
