Fooking hell, its quiet today is it not????

Helping a mate out today at 2:00 with some decorating, the out for drinks tonight, and staying over at his place (got an overnight pass) and coming home on the morrow.

No fettling for me this weekend, as am waiting on parts for the build, which won't be here until next week (or so)

Whats everone else up to today (if anyone actually posts today)

still fooking about with the bike from last nights taking it to bits exercise.

Biggest gripe of today is the inaccurate weather forecast I read last night that told me it was going to be bright, sunny and cold today, perfect riding weather.......I've got freezing fog.

I was supposed to be out today as well, but weather here is shite, there's frost everywhere and its raining also, so I canned the idea.

I need to get out on the bikes, not much riding this month so far, just fettling mostly

I am ashamed to say i am waiting on the dryer weather, i have been out in the snow at night but that is it i dont really enjoy getting totaly plastered in sh1t. Been running cross country over the winter getting ready for the bike race season after March after i have done my one and only big run.
  • Well you're better than me, have done virtually no riding or anything else for that matter, Jan is always the same for me, I wander around in a malaise for the whole month, but come February my sprits start to lift somewhat......

Gonna start getting some hours in riding as soon as the XC bike is finished in the next week or so :)
  • Superb sunshine here. Dry, bright, not too cold, but not too warm either. Dead muddy just where you want it to be, perfect :D

Already been for a nice ride. Just having a cuppa and then I'll go clean the bike.

Found out that those MD80 cams off ebay don't really agree with direct sunlight when filming, and that sheep like to play chicken with bikes.

Also found out that my 4gb card is only good for about an hour of footage when I'm hammering it like I was today.

Was brilliant to be able to take the big heavy Muddy Marys off the 456 and stick on some lighter High Rollers. Feels like a totally different bike.

May have a beer or 3 later just to celebrate.

    Laters webbos

Oh it is a summer bike to me, gets treated like a road bike, weighs next to nothing (sub 20lb) and is a dream to ride

The weather here's dry but overcast, next to no wind, ideal, I'd planned to be out on the roadie today (still building the mtb) but my lovely but germ infested teenage daughter has decided that my life was too good so she's passed on her cold to me and I feel like crap, I can hardly find the energy to go up the stairs so a bike ride's well out

I'll wait, I'll be patient, but I will have my revenge.

from 135mm-150mm. i'm looking at some marzocchi AM SL 2006 or 2005 model on ebay. ending tommorow at 8pm. currently at £36.05. as much as i would like some pikes or revs i don't want to spend too much. the marzocchis are very good forks and anyway i want to get some revs or pikes next year

    thanks anyway :)
  • Well, if you've still not found anything by next month, let me know. I might be swapping the 66s on the 456 for something else, and I'll not want much for them.

I'm not entirely sure just yet though. Just waiting to see if I can pay myself a nice bonus at the end of March. Wont know for sure for another few weeks.

    66's are 180mm aren't they? Don't you mean 160mm 55's?
    I hope so for a 456!
  • They're these ones in 150mm version without the black "bomber" writing on the sides (but still with the red decals).

I'm keeping them until at least this time next month anyway, and it's only fair to offer Jay dibs on them (assuming neither of you have anything else sorted by then).

Probably be after about £100 posted
