I am going to change the handle bars on my winter bike and I'm wondering how to remove the brake/shifter levers.I have pulled the hoods back and can see a small srew on the inside,do i loosen this?If it makes a difference the bike has a sora flightdeck.

To loosen the brake/shifter units, looking at the bike head-on, if you peel back the outer front of the rubber hoods, there will be a allen key hex bolt (approx 4mm IIRC) on the outer edge. Loosen this bolt and this will loosen the shifter clamp. (You don't have to remove it completely, just enough to allow it to rotate and slide off).
I take it you have already removed the bar tape?Cycling weakly0 -
