Can anyone recommend a good quality flat-handle bar road bike for less than £350?

    I'd recommend the Scott Speedster Flatbar options but that's because I have one. For your budget you'd have to try to find a 2008 S60 though.

    I ride a 2009 Giant FCR2 - think they've changed the model name this year, might be called Rapid now or something similar - and its been fine for rides up to 100 miles, no trouble keeping up with other riders on 'proper' road bikes. Mine was just over £400, but there were cheaper models in the range.

    try before buying.

    ive got a ridgeback flight 04, and would recommend the basic models as well. other than that the cheapest boardman will be the best
