    0 - still on the wagon from New Year. What a long month this is proving to be! :(

    Without being self-righteous about it, I have to say that I have an incredible amount of energy compared to normal. Up early and stuck into work like never before. Maybe alcohol is poisonous after all! :shock:

    2, maybe 3.

    I like drinking but don't enjoy getting drunk and certainly not the hangover.

    I did 5 hours in the rain today. Early night me thinks...

    I feel it, when I sorrow most;
    'Tis better to have loved and lost;
    Than never to have loved at all."

    In fact, for the first time in my life, I'm thinking of giving up alcohol altogether. I am only an occasional drinker but from time to time the "occasions" are memorable (or not :oops: ). This week I've been on business and had a few beers and a few malts on several nights. Since Wed night I've felt crap and today still have no energy.

    It could be time to call it a day...........

    0.3 tonight. Wife is ready to pop at any moment so I might have to drive to hospital at any time. I drink for the taste though anyway :D

    0- don't find it compatible with cycling, the hills are hard enough as it is! :oops:

    Go for the natural high, endorfins. Never been a particularly big drinker, so easy enough for me to go without for long periods.

    I'm not teetotal though; enjoy a good single malt, an occasional 3.5% ABV local Wye Valley beer and the odd glass of fine wine! :lol:

    Add to that, i always seem to be at work- so lack of opportunity.

    6, a glass of sherry, a bottle of claret and tidied up a part open, bottle of port with Mrs SG. All with an excelent fillet steak, plus a good cheddar. Saturdays are special, aren't they? :wink:

    4.

    I had a real surge on Friday in my mission to rid the world of M&S' Palacio Del Marques Tempranillo Syrah. Consequently though I didn't wake up till 12:20 this afternoon. No cycling today.

    I am however off to bed right now in an attempt to get up early on Sunday and make up for my misadventures.
