0 - still on the wagon from New Year. What a long month this is proving to be!
Without being self-righteous about it, I have to say that I have an incredible amount of energy compared to normal. Up early and stuck into work like never before. Maybe alcohol is poisonous after all! :shock:0 -
2, maybe 3.
I like drinking but don't enjoy getting drunk and certainly not the hangover.0 -

I did 5 hours in the rain today. Early night me thinks..."I hold it true, what'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost;
Than never to have loved at all."

I will start off with the intention of having a few then all hell will break loose as if it's going out of fashion damm my willpower!0

In fact, for the first time in my life, I'm thinking of giving up alcohol altogether. I am only an occasional drinker but from time to time the "occasions" are memorable (or not :oops: ). This week I've been on business and had a few beers and a few malts on several nights. Since Wed night I've felt crap and today still have no energy.
It could be time to call it a day...........Where the neon madmen climb0 -
0.3 tonight. Wife is ready to pop at any moment so I might have to drive to hospital at any time. I drink for the taste though anyway

0- don't find it compatible with cycling, the hills are hard enough as it is! :oops:
Go for the natural high, endorfins. Never been a particularly big drinker, so easy enough for me to go without for long periods.
I'm not teetotal though; enjoy a good single malt, an occasional 3.5% ABV local Wye Valley beer and the odd glass of fine wine!
Add to that, i always seem to be at work- so lack of opportunity.0 -
6, a glass of sherry, a bottle of claret and tidied up a part open, bottle of port with Mrs SG. All with an excelent fillet steak, plus a good cheddar. Saturdays are special, aren't they?The older I get the faster I was0

I had a real surge on Friday in my mission to rid the world of M&S' Palacio Del Marques Tempranillo Syrah. Consequently though I didn't wake up till 12:20 this afternoon. No cycling today.
I am however off to bed right now in an attempt to get up early on Sunday and make up for my misadventures.0 -
Friday was the full 10 & repeated again today0
