Hello All
looking for some good off road shoe options, although i am on a limited budget (thinking around £50 - £70). I don't do any thing hardcore in terms of jumps or down hill, but I am looking to raise my distances over the year and think i may need some cycling pspecific footwear. I donlt use SPD pedals
Any suggestions?

Shimano AM40 are a good option. Really comfy and in my opinion more suited to general riding than the five tens.

Couldn't agree more, had my 1st ride in my pair the other day, my feet were stuck to the pedals (v12's). Bit different on the styling, but i quite like them! Good price for them too i feel.0 -
I've just ordered a pair of Scott Classic trainers - £17.99 from Evans website. They only have limited sizes but figured I couldn't go wrong whilst I give flats a go for a bit.
Will try and dig out the link.2015 Nukeproof Mega TR 275 in raw0 -
Lidl do really good SPD compatible shoes normally for 12-20 quid. I have two pairs (I jet wash them so they take ages to dry).0

I've just bought a pair of Shimano MT41 shoes, you can use them as SPD shoes, but I don't.
They are great shoes at a great price, comfy to ride in and walk in.
Do go for a larger size that you would normally though.

You should just get a pair of karrimors from a sports store. They are available for about £17 and are as grippy and comfortable as anything.Just ride.0
