Which forks on Orange P7?

I need some help... I have an Orange P7. its approximately a 1997 model (Crome frame with clear lacquer and Orange stickers)
The bike is currently fully ridged, but I am wanting upgrade to front suspension forks.
The problem is that the frame has a 1"steerer tube.... All forks on the market at the minute appear to be 1 1/8" steerers!
Does anyone have any suggestions on what forks are out there that I can use.... New or old!
Thanks in advance peeps.

Have a look on ebay - though Pace and Marzocchi have recently had 1 inch options.0

For the age of the frame, you maybe want to stick to something with about 80mm's of travel. This should keep the geometry of the frame correct. I'd get a RS SID or similar put on it, be quite in keeping with the bike0

Hi,
I've got the same bike and having the same thoughts. Marzoochi have brought out the MX Pro LO this year with a 1" steerer. Think I will get a new stem and headset, so not much change out of £250.
That and the cost of replacing ageing parts I'm tempted to get a new bike that will keep me going for another 13 years. At the same time it is still a good bike.

Cheers peeps, I have spoken to Marzoochi and the forks you have mentioned sound good. I think you can get them for about £170 from different retailers.
I have also heard that Pace with manifacture you a 1" steerer fork at no extra cost to what it would be for a 1 1/8" fork. Does anyone know about this?
Through a friend i have managed to source the following kit for the bike for £150!
stuff is all 2008 equipment.
Avid juicy 3 brakes (Levers, discs and calipers)
XT cranks
XTR front mech
XT shifters
Hope stem and handle bars
(I think) Zero wheels fully built with Zero hubs and tyres
There are a few other bits too, but at the minute I can't remember what they are.............0 -
was it stolen to order!0

Ha! No.
My mates brother has just upgraded his bike and the bits are kicking around his garage. He wants rid of everything. I guess I was in the right place at the right time for once!0 -
