Shortening The Hoses On Hayes Stroker Trail Brakes

I was just wondering how I would shorten the hoses on my hayes stroker trail brakes, i bought them oem and they are too long, any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
Should I just take them to the LBS? :?
