To all cyclists or triathletes,

A Kingston University undergraduate project requires willing participants to take part. The study involves three visits to the laboratory over the course of the two months and will require the ingestion of two commercially available drinks for 6 days prior to testing. The study aims to find what physiological changes (blood pressure, blood glucose/sugar levels/heart rate/blood lactate and gas exchange) occur between the tests and the effect upon a 16km time trial (time to complete).
Participants must have no health issues and the doctor must not have said not to take part in intense exercise, also consent forms and a health questionnaire (short) will be completed prior to the first session (which will be a VO2max test - ideal for assessing your aerobic fitness - free of charge). The second two sessions will take place in subsequent weeks, carrying out the same protocol (30min moderate intensity exercise and time trial straight after) and information will be given back to participants once the study is completed.

Supplementation will be provided and will not cause any adverse effects on you as a participant.

For any additional information or if interested in taking part please email me k0722596@kingston.ac.uk

regards,
