They come with a free inner tube and 1 year anti-puncture guarantee

I tried the Conti sports contacts for a change after wearing out my Spesh All Condition Pro's 26x1 (nearly 4k miles, zero deflations!). I was drawn in by the guarantee thinking it would mean they didn't puncture - WRONG, many punctures in the 4 months the soft rubber took to take on a square profile! The guarantee is useless because when I get a puncture I do not want to go (pushing the bike) to the LBS to show them, I need to repair it and keep on riding. I have no doubt the travel contacts will be as disappointing. I went back to Spesh and continued my deflation-free progress!

I agree about the guarantee, cannot see the point if you get frequent punctures. Having said that my pair of Sport Contacts ran really well with no punctures for 3 months of commuting up to xmas (about 1000 miles) and they had about 500 miles on before that. However I then had three punctures in three weeks, each time glass slivers straight though the tyre and puncture protection belt. I can only assume that the tyres had worn out after 1500 miles so have replaced them with Schwalbe Marathon Supremes but cannot report on those yet as I have only run them for a few miles.
