Any thoughts on this frame? Would love a TI bike - this looks like it is a good all-rounder - if anyone has one, or has ridden one, your input would be much valued. Ta

Looks great, wonder if anything has changed on the 2010 model?

Well worth checking out Scrumple's bike in the "your road bikes" section. I'm just getting used to a Monday's Child, which has a slightly racier setup. Very light compared to the Kuota I had previously. I'm sure other, more experienced, Ti enthusiasts will be able to contribute. Good luck.

Thanks - I'm actually looking at a 2009 frame - I've found it on offer at £999, down from £1500 which means I could put together a decent bike for the price of the frame... Will check out the bike thread now.
  • I have a 2009 Sabbath Silk Road Pro with SRAM Rival as my trianing/winter bike and a Monday's Child as a race bike. The Silk Road Pro is simply superb in every respect - light, agile with a superb ride quality. Although it lacks the out and out stiffness and responsiveness of the Monday's Child, I actually prefer the Silk Road for longer training rides. £999 is a bloody good price too - trust me, you won't be disappointed :D

    Roger that...

    Its a beaut.

The frame is changing for 2010 so the bike will not look the same. IF there are any frames left you should be able to negotiate a discount, as they will need to shift them to make way for the new... (search bikeradar news for 2010 pics).

You could get the forks thrown in at least (probably are?). I don't think Sabbath have any left, but worth asking (one small when I bought mine).

Yeah - its £999 inc frame and forks. They have a complete bike for £1500 (Sram Rival) which seems unbelievable, but only advertising in xl or xs....

Not sure if a headset is chucked in with frame and fork price either...
  • Ring Greg at Sabbath - he might be able to build the SRAM Rival group onto the correct frame size for you. He's always up for a bit of haggling

If he has the frame left!
He couldn't source me a M in it, but happily I fitted the S he had left.

Haggle, cos the new stock is coming and the suppliers with them left know this!!

No "m" left, has "m" in the Silk Road, but not the pro. Bit gutted as heart was ruling head with the Pro, now got to weigh up if I can get as excited over the Silk Road...
  • Hi,

Yes, unfortunately we're out on 2009 Silk ROad Pro except XS and XL... Silk Road will do the job you're describing wonderfully, though!

  • bought a Silk Road from Greg a couple of years back. came with ultegra and easton ea90 wheels.

been great, done Lands End to J.O.G. on it and a few sportives and not had one problem. must have done over 5000 miles on it and the only thing thats needed doing is new bearings in the back wheel.

infact it must be a collectors item as its got the Sunday decals on so i'll sell it in a few years for more than it cost
