really long reach brake options?

I have an Alu cross bike I commute on intermittently. It has a huge amount of clearance, which is great for being able to fit mudguards + studded winter tyres, but I really hate those cantilever brakes... Wondering about options for v. long reach calipers (about 7cm). I saw these:

Are there any others? How about fitting V brakes, I think I read somewhere that road STIs don't work well with them, is this correct?
