Can anyone tell me what type of torque wrench will fit the Campagnolo Ultra Torque 10mm Bolt Tool so that I can remove my crankset?

Would a BBB torque wrench have a socket bit that will be able to attached the 10mm bolt tool?

Thanks

What would you suggest I use to remove the bolt holding the cranks together then?

All you need is an L-shaped 10mm allen key - fit that into the Ultra Torque 10mm tool and then undo the hirth joint bolt.

I bought one from Halfords for about £15 I think. Cheap and cheerful, but does the job.

I'm still using a socket set I bought in a Motorists Discount Centre in 1981. I also have an excellent set of Homebase branded long handled allen keys. Well, I did have a set. Anyone know where the 6mm one's gone??

Probably the same place as my 5mm one.
  • Or buy the official tool for £6.95 and then you can use a torque wrench.

Then when you reassemble it you can torque it the correct amount ;-)

You need to be careful undoing with a torque wrench - many aren't designed for this and it can screw up the calibration
