As per the title really, I've got to get my bike home (broken seatpost bolt) on top of my car's roofbars. There's ten miles or so of motorway, would you take the 'blades off?
Thanks...

How do you attach the bike to the car? Assuming the wheels stay on, it should be fine up to a reasonable speed. My SKS 'guards were fine at 50mph (riding) and would presumably be ok on a car at the same speed.
Or can you fold the seats down and put the whole bike inside the car (possibly minus wheels)?
By my calculations, the extra time taken to drive down the motorway at 50 rather than 80 will be little more than the time taken to read this post...Pannier, 120rpm.0 -
Depends which way the bike facing - if it's not forwards they might blow around a bit, but for just 10 miles, I'd be inclined to just keep the speed down.Bike1
