    Tacx Sirius. Cycleops Mag +

Both around that mark or maybe Tacx Satori Gelsoft.

  • I have a cyclops mag which was £80 ish using the wiggle vouchers over Christmas. It works well but is very loud, someone at the turbo evening last night likened it to a motorbike, but it is possible I have put it together wrong as the instructions were
    non-existant.

If you are wanting something to use inside the house I would look elsewhere, as I have been banished to the shed!

Trainer specific tyres help with the noise issue, albeit some are still damn noisy!

+1 on the Tacx Sirius. I can thoroughly recommend it (although I haven't used others so I cannot place it into context).

I don't bother with trainer tyres since (after taking advice from the learned chaps) the only benefit appears to be slightly less noise (turning my ipod up seemed the better option). To be honest, running it with some Racelites isn't that noisy in any case.
