i bought a new mtb and have fitted this fork that ive had fork years.

i took it apart and re-oiled it etc but it seems really soft!

it says in the manual to put in 60mm of oil in each fork, which i did. but it just seems a bit too soft..........

have i done something wrong? i always used to run it really spongy, but having bought an "all rounder" hardtail, i could do with it being a touch firmer.

thanks

you need 60mm of air above the oil (fork compressed springs out)

also there is the internal damping that can be adjusted and preload.
