Hi all,
I'm new to the world of clipless, are there any models/styles that I should be looking at in the realm of £40? I've looked at some Look Keo Easy's, but like the look of the Classic models more (is there any noticable gain in performance?). I've heard Shimano cleats last longer, but other than that I really don't know an awful lot about road pedals...
It's my first time clipping in, but i'll be competing on them so they need to be reliable.
oh, the bike I'm hopefully getting later this week has one or two red coloured bits and bobs (headset spacers and bottle cage mounts), hence the need to keep this colour scheme going with a splash of red on the pedals. It's not actually that important but would help keep me happy
Ta.

You can get a pair of red Keo Classic pedal off eBay for £44.
Not sure if there's any real 'performance' boost over the Easy pedal though. Just lighter and 'redder'0 -
I just bought a pair of red Keo classics for £40 from my LBS, they were £10 off in the sale but have a look around the local shops and see what you can get, if you're confident fitting them yourself etc then I'm sure wiggle, CRC etc would have some cheap.
Going slightly OT here, anyone got any good links and watch-its for getting a good cleat position, I've done the whole ball of the foot thing so far but the rotation etc is baffling me.Bianchi c2c Nirone http://i48.tinypic.com/k9z9tg.jpg0 -
I would recommend Look Keo Sprints, Ihave them on both bikes - they re light, adjustable and easy to clip in and out of. And more importantly RED You can get them here for a good price, infact I might buy a spare pair... 8)

+1 for Keo Sprints - lovely smooth bearings and not too pricey. I think Keo Easy are actually quite a bit lighter than Classics, and possibly lighter than Sprints even, so potentially a good option if you don't mind the grey (I find the non-adjustable tension is about right).0
