Look ok, but I paid that for my montane featherlite, and that is as good as they come for this type of jscket. You only need light, portable, showerproof, and pack down tight.
Decent price, though not exeptional accross it's class. Then again, the quality may be very good? For me the key would be how well it packed down as these sorts of jackets (e.g. my montane) must fit away in a jersey pocket and be carry everywhere and not realise type.
Try the descente website to see how it stows??

    Thx Scrumple,

Not much info on the Descent website but I did find this elsewhere.

featherlite claims to be the worlds lightest... 125g, 4oz.

If the velom is 3.5oz and that price, I say great value! Excellent if you want a stash away that can come out for showers or cold winds.

Some people knock these as they are not water proof. They DO work for unplanned downpours, and I always have one or a similar gilet on long rides.

Thx Scrumple, I've ordered. Like you I thought it's great value. Will post comments once I've done a few rides.

I've just ordered one as well. I've got a Montane Velo jacket, but its getting a bit old and it has always been rather loose fitting. Hopefully this one won't flap in the wind. I'll let you know how I get on!

I have a Montane (non-velo) and one of these the Descente jobbies. The Descente packs up really small and lives in my MTB saddle bag. The Montane usualy goes in the back pocket of jersey in case of rain. Dunno how waterproof it is but it sure is windproof. The cut is much less baggy than my Montane. Go for it.
