Assos garment repairs

I've just discovered that some of the stitching on my Assos bib tights (mille pad, airprotec tights) is coming undone around the pad, leaving a small hole on the inside (outside still fine as fabric is double layered in that area).
I seem to remember people on these forums mentioning that Assos are pretty good about repairs if you send the garment back to them so I was hoping someone who'd done it might be able to tell me roughly how long it took and what the process was.
The problem I have is that they're my only bib tights and in the current weather I can't really be without them so I was hoping to continue riding in the tights until the start of spring and then send them back once it's warm enough to wear shorts and it doesn't matter how long Assos take to do the repair.

Rapha garments is all about looking good on the bike - whatever that means though, I personally think their clothes generally look like dry dog-poo.
Assos on the other hand, is about the best quality garments, best fit and best warranty.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Assos, on the other hand, is about being incredibly well clothed but looking really, really bad. Their design is so ugly I'm always surprised they don't use clip art.0

Not denying some of the Assos clothing look a bit too much but I really can't stand the hype about Rapha. I tried a few of their garments at a LBS and the shape is brilliant for City-big bucks type which earn a lot of money but not really for slim and tall people like me.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Update... About a month ago I finally decided the weather was being consistent enough to chance sending my only pair of bibtights back to Assos for repair so I did.
Got them back today and not only have they repaired the loose stitching around the pad but they've replaced the pad entirely with a brand new one. It's now back to being bright orange instead of the horrible grey-brown it had become.
Give it a couple of months, though0
