First commute of the year

First cycle for me for close for a month due to weather + illness.

OUCH

Everything was so much harder i have lost so much fitness, i am still sniffly but i could not wait any longer i was going crazy (er)

    Same here.

    Got a lift with the wife (it's on her way to work anyway), put the bike in the back of the car, in the morning then rode home last night.
    I could certainly feel that I haven't ridden for nearly a month! My legs are aching this morning as well.

    Got another lift in with the bike today as it was icy this morning. Was planning on it thawing throughout the day but looking at the forecast it's not going to get above freezing.
    Could be an interesting / scarey ride home on the 23mm slicks tonight.

    The sooner I get the old hybrid fixed up and out of retirement the better in this weather.
