To send a PM in reply to an old topic, to someone you've never had any contact with before, and whilst indicating that you've clearly not read the post properly, directly insult the individual you're PM-ing ??

I've just had it happen to me.

If it is the done thing, then I appologise for my response. If not, then as I said in my reply to the PM...... "You can get f*cked"

Sorry to everyone else on here, I'm having a bad day at work, spleen now vented.

I think that if forum members want to insult one another, doing it by PM is totally out of order.

Do it on the message boards, so we can all enjoy the sport! :D

As much as I'd like to, I don't think it warrants it. I'd like to think I'm better than that (hahahahahaahah !!!!)
It was a response to a factual post of mine and having clearly not read the post, proceeded tell me I'm wrong and insult me. As has been said, post it in the forum, that's fine, but don't PM with an insult !

Anyway, I think he's only been on here since mid December, I guess he'll learn it's not the done thing and I'll give him the beneft of the doubt :)

No, I'm with Matt. Stay on the moral high ground.

Perhaps the culprit will volunteer an apology on this thread.

Wasn't going to, but having explained my point to him (which was probably somewhat antagonistic of me) he continues to reply to me. It started with nothing too serious, just PM-ing me and calling me delusional, then following my response, calling me a douche, and now I think he's getting wound up.

So, I said I'd give him the benefit of the doubt for the first one. Each insult from now on, gets another letter of his name on here...........

Yes, you were. The problem being she's only his ex-girlfriend because she is now his wife!

I'm going to have to agree there NapD :D
Almost right Aggieboy, she then became my ex-wife, so you can both have a point on that one :D
