Howdo-
I have a Defy 3 with the Alex Rims on nobody hubs (I think) and wanted to do some upgrading......but I have no context of how good / bad what I have got is. Where do these wheels sit within what I might see in a shop. What is a good but economical upgrade for a 100kg rider? Not racing or anything, just weekend rides of 60km or so......

An excuse to take a picture of my bike...

I've just ordered some Mavic Open Sport (tougher than Open Pro) rims with Shimano 105 hubs. 32 spokes which should make for a solid training wheel. Hopefully about £150.

Should have mentioned that my wheels were £270.0

The standard tubes I had for the original wheels had too short valve stems (much to my disappointment when I tried to fit them  ).
The ones that are on are, I think, 60 mm and are really a bit too long.0
