Miles, I did try using my computer in Km, but found that all I did was convert back to miles in my head, so I swapped back, and don't find myself converting to Km very often.

  • Km, it's more Euro that way.

Plus I have no idea how to deciper climbs into metres from feet.

One of each: Polar's on km, Cateye's on miles. Rides are usually in kms, but I prefer miles (it's psycological).

Miles. I only convert to KM for the metric century challenge on BR!

Altitude gained in Feet as well.

Miles - I did try kms in a bid to be more Euro but like RD just kept converting it back to miles.

    Km..

Miles make little sense to me.

1600m or so per mile isn't it? Roughly?
Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.

I've got the choice of miles and Fahrenheit or km and Celsius readings which is a bit annoying as what I’d like is miles and Celsius at the same time.

    Miles and feet.
  • km - seems more that way.

KM - because when I started road riding I was living in a country which worked in km and I never switched to miles after I moved back to the UK. I do my weight in kilos but have no idea how tall I am in metric - only know in feet and inches

Measure my rides in miles but altitude in metres.
  • I am decimalised in everything but distance traveled in my car and by bike

I've learned my 0.621371182 times table pretty well this year, as i'm always converting for people who talk in miles. Still can't manage to put them in perspective in my head though. I'll have to convert to km before I can "understand" a distance.

Definitely Km's - for two reasons - one, I come from a country that's metric and two - it keeps my speedo clicking up more than riding in miles would. e.g. 1000km sounds better than 600miles.

miles, I find using Km just confuses me and screws up my ability to pace myself.

However, when i move to Oz later this year I'll probably convert to KM as that's how they do it over there and it'll make more sense in general. :)

On the other hand 200 km seems more difficult than 125 miles (in my head anyway).

KM so the clock function is in 24hr format.

I know my weight in KG's, but my height in feet & inch.

Work in a combination of metric and imperial where "a four foot" is 1435mm

Distance in miles, climbing in metres.

Started off in km, cos descending at 70km/h sounded cooler than 40-odd mph 8)
