Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone can tell me how good the garmin edge heart rate monitors are?

I have tried a few HRMs but never found one which is reliable throughout training.

Im upgrading from my edge 205 to either the edge 500 or 705, but just wanted to check what the monitor is like before i do.

Thanks

Garmin fine as was my previous Polar, had problems with the Cateye before that.

No problems with my garmin, doesn't appear to be too fussy about where it's located either.

excellent. thanks for the info guys.

gonna order one now...although still pretty torn between the 500 or the 705.
(been reading pretty mixed reviews of the 500, lots of software issues)

Look in the training section... Lots of Q & A's in there too!

You got some links to these reviews? Only seen good ones myself so far and still deciding between 705 and 500 also.
