Hello,
I'm needing to buy a HRM monitor my efforts in training for an Ironman. Can anybody recommend my a HRM that doubles up as a cycle computer. I also need the cycle pod to be mounted on the rear wheel so i can record turbo sessions.
Cheers

If you want something that you can use on the bike, running and even swimming then you might want to look at the Garmin Forerunner 310xt. There's a quick release wrist strap/bike mount that means you can transfer from your wrist to the bars. With this only the head unit is mounted on the bars (no wrist strap) so it look pretty neat and can be stem mounted. Its also compatible with the Garmin GSC10 cadence/speed sensor that is rear wheel mounted (Edge 705 and Edge 500 are as well).
It has most if not all of the regular Garmin training functions and is ANT+ so will work with power meters.
I got mine with the premium HR monitor strap from ebay for £211 (then paid £30 for the GSC10 and about £15 for the QR bike mount).More problems but still living....0
