Broke my neck of femur March '08 in Coed y Brenin, had metal put in.
All going well til Sept '08, chsed by a dog, and tore groin/adductor area.
Same again July '09, part of being Royal Mail staff I suppose...

Luckily, cycling - turbo, road, moderate mtb - only activities that doesn't hurt, as well as re-hab exercises given by the physio etc. Put on over a stone, but most is muscle due to home gym work.
Anyway, Physio, wts, stretching, painkillers were all helping, then slipped on "Black Ice" last week. Back to square one. So, hoping for MRI/Ultrasound scan, then possibly a cortisone injectiion to displace scar tissue build up. X Rays showed normal wear-tear, so it's the soft tissue giving me the problems/pain.

Was hoping for 2010 to be "My Year", lets hope Mr Consultant can sort me out!!!

Many years ago I was a postie (L'pool city centre). Anyway, one day, about 6am, I was out on foot when a colleague passes me, cycling up Church St (Pedestrianised).
As he sailed passed, I heard this dog, growling & barking, a Dobermann approaching my mate full tilt! Quickly followed by the voice of it's owner, shouting at my mate to "get of the bike.... Get off the fcuking bike".... "He doesn't like bikes, get off the bike!"
Matey hits the brakes and leaps off..... Dobermann nearly ripped his testicles clean off.... I nearly wet myself laughing!:lol:
Bloke & dog buggered off into the distance....

Good luck with getting better pal. Stay positive.

A serious adductor strain helped to bring my football to a premature end (my ankles have seen better days as well!) - it just cannot handle the explosive force associated with kicking a football since the injury. I did it first game of the 08/09 season after I'd just put us 3-1 up!

I don't complain about it though - a lot of people have it a lot worse than I do.

Consultant and his Registrar think it's Tendonitis of the Psoas area, so it's an
    Ultrasound investigation and cortisone injection.
Not looking forward to it, but if it works, great!

4 week waiting list, then fingers crossed...
