Drivetrain Compatibility

I am building a custom road bike and my friend has offered to give me some wheels with campagnolo bits on it (forgotten the correct term). I am wondering if anybody knows whether i will have any compatibility issues on my bike - i have already bought a shimano 105 crankset and shimano octalink but does this make any difference?

You can use whatever chainset you like. Just make sure the cassette/mech/shifters all match.
