Although I will unlikely watch this unless Valverde or Downing hit the front here is the relevant information:
I wonder if the stages are so short because of the heat or because they are so boring...

i seriously hope valverde doesnt get any where near a win.0

I read somewhere the stages are short to pursuade europeans to want to go, it's a warm up ride for most, getting ready for the season in good weather.0

Cancer Classic Crit won by Greg Henderson of Team Sky. They had a great leadout train.

Reasons Phil Ligget gets muted in my house #4235... Seriously folks, a playing to the crowd break in a 50km crit is worthy of outlandish praise? And he was sitting on too!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Are we honestly going to argue about whether LA took turns in a showboat break in a trivial crit in Oz? Do none of us have lives?___________________

I'm not arguing. I was being lighthearted, I know that doesn't play well on here when LA is mentioned (on either side). Just saying the highlights on the telly made it look like he was a big wheelsucker."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Honestly, I don't think about Armstrong that much, I don't join in the arguments on here because I find them personal, nasty and silly. I make one comment, ina jovial manner, I explain it to try and put it to bed and you keep picking at it. Bravo."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Watched the highlights last night and although it was 'only a crit' Columbia were trying to win but it seemed as though the tactics of a well drilled lead out by Sky disrupted them quite a bit. Good on Sky I say, they must have seen an oppurtunity to take Columbia on and they took it well.
Hopefully we'll see more of Sky and other teams taking on Colimbias train a bit more often this season.0 -
Watching the highlights via Team Sky reminds why I can't abide Ligget & Sherwin
He's dancing on the pedals, Lance fawn fawn fawn, he's digging deep etc etc0 -
Garmin had good intentions last season but didn't seem to be quite well drilled enough and didn't have quite enough riders left at the end. They *almost* took it to Cav a couple of times during the TdF - will be interesting to see if Sky make a better job of it (than Garmin) when Columbia have their "first team" out to play.Le Blaireau (1)0

Yes, I expect Cav's train, especially at the TdF will go a lot faster for a lot longer and be harder to beat. Still, maybe Garmin will step up their game a bit too if Sky are challenging in that area. Could be quite interesting!0 -

No, but the boats that are marooned up at holdfast shores some 20 kms away would've been a rockin'0 -
