Reckon the rear wheel on my commuting is on the way out - freehub seems to be 'skipping',and when I freewheel for a moment it then takes a fractionof a pedal turn to 'catch up' and as it is a cheap wheel I don't reckon it's worth the money to try and fix.
Cheap wheel on CRC -
I wonder if it is 7-speed compatible : doesn't state on the web site, std these days if 8,9,10 which excludes the transmission on my commute bike.

Only £40 and a spare front is not going to lie unused for too long the way I seem to go through them in the crappy weather on the crappy roads I ride on.
alternative is a freewheel-compatible wheel which CRC also do but I don't reckon it's as good a wheel but I have a spare freewheel I can use if it comes to that.

Or, can I (with spacer ?) use 9-speed compatible hub (I have a suitable wheel sitting unused at the mo') with 7-speed cassette ?0
