Hi all, I am having a bit of a panic attack at the moment, it appears that i have people coming in to my garden and i think they are checking out my garage which has my pride and joys inside, was just wondering what insurance companys are the best for insuring expensive bikes?I do have my stumpie on the house cover but looking through the docs it says i must have the original receipts etc and they only cover up to 1500 which when you have added upgrades in is not enough really! Any help appreciated

a common question just a few similar ones.
Oh and move you bike into the house if it is still in the shed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

My parents insure with M&S and they over my bikes up to a unlimited value as long as they are in a secure garage or shed.0

I put mine on the home insurance (extra charge) and it needs to be locked to an immovable object.
If they aren't locked to anything at the moment, I'd get them indoors
And proof up your garden a bit if possible - I'd be well worried if anyone was walking around my garden, the police would be called!

If you value it get bike insurance ... I always do my bikes on their own insurance not with the home insurance ..
Check out ETA
Been good with me in the past when I had a bike stolen ..
Just make sure you are locking it up with an APPROVED lock
(Keep the reciet for the lock as well )0 -
Those bike specific insurers cost 5x (quotes were more than my car insurance  ) as much as my home insurance quote and don't offer any greater protection, totally not worth it ifyou ask me! Too many loop holes.http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg
