Poploc Removal From Blackbox motion control?

Is this possible without changing the damper completely? (Over £100!)
I know about the return spring in the damper, and that you can get at the standard MoCo one quite easily, but has anyone done it with the Blackbox version (which has a Ti cage)
I have the opportunity to buy a reba team at no cost over the race, both have poploc which I would remove...but if you cannot do it on the team then it's not really an option (though I could always buy the damper spare and sell the old (but brand new) one on Ebay/classifieds I guess, it's hassle though)
Is the Team a much better fork?
Wish they would offer like for like forks with the remote option.

again the poplock is just a lever on the bars.
you want to play with the compression stack.
they are switch-able by year. and srams site give the differences."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Looking at that ti damper stack it might not be easy to get at the spring.0

Mmmm Ti"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

That's the issue, I don't think there is any way into it, wheras the plastic one can be unscrewed easily.
Don't quite understand your post Nick, I just want to remove the remote and put a standard dial on the fork. I understand it controls the compression damper, but why do I want to play with it.0 -
can't you just change out the cap, for a lever type?
And yes the TEAM is a much better fork, and worth the extra money or the hassle of a remote.0 -
Nah, as there is a return spring in the middle of the damper.0

Thats a bummer as I was planning on doing the exact same thing.
Do you think its something TFTuned could do?0 -
I expect so. Unless parts are press fitted you maybe able to get in the unit from the top or bottom.0

The cage requires some rivets to be removed (according to a thread somewhere) in order to get at the spring....this is only done by drilling them out and putting new ones in when reassembling
Going to go for the Race on that fact, yes the team is the better fork, but since you cannot remove the remote it's no good.....also turns out the supplier I was going to get it from have put up their prices since that was first posted unfortunately, making the Team more money
The Race it is....0 -

Cheers Super. From what's been said It sounds as though there could be a lot of faffing about. I'll might give them a ring and see what the damage would be but I doubt I'll get much change, if any from £150.00.
The problem is I'm prone to the odd crash and replacement poploc adjusts are expensive.0
