Web order not arrived after 12 days-familiar story?

Ordered some small items from Ribble on 3rd Jan. Their website says the order was despatched on 5th, but it's still not arrived. They are not responding to emails- no surprise there. I don't live in Guatemala, just down the road in Lancs.
I realise the weather has played a part, but is anyone else waiting this long for stuff from them at the moment?

i've never had an issue with stuff being late from Ribble, although their customer service side could be a bit better I've found. I have picked up the phone when I had an issue with a frame order and got the answers pretty quickly.
  • I've had a minor issue with Ribble this week. Didn't receive the goods and after 3 working days I gave them a call. Turned out they forgot to send them. They sent them the same day and I got them the day after.

I suggest you call them (tel. no. under Contact us) and sort it out. If they tell you the order has been sent, then it's a royal mail issue...

I admit Ribble is not as efficient as say Wiggle, but they stock more stuff, so sometimes I have to go for ribble...

Wiggle used to stock a lot, but now it seems they've reduced their stock significantly. Look at Conti tyres for example... right now they probably have 3 models and a couple of sizes in stock... all the rest is unavailable!

Sounds about right. I had ordered some bits and pieces like tools, lube etc and had dispatch email on 28th December, received them on 12th Jan.

I ordered some stuff from Amazon 12 days ago for my daughters birthday. It only turned up today, nearly a week after her birthday. She also received another present in the post today which I know will have been posted in time for her birthday. Both were by Royal Mail.

Had no problems with Ribble what so ever. Find them very helpful, and emails have been answered within an hour or so so never had cause to call them.

I'll say it's probably Royal Mail - I'm waiting on two packages myself (not from Ribble but posted via Royal Mail) both from reputable shops and both posted about the 5th - no sign of either yet. I'm hoping they'll turn up in the next week - I suspect the snow hasn't been helping.

I had some stuff from Ribble that I ordered before Xmas not turn up.

They sent out replacements though without a fuss - I gave them a month before chasing it up.

    Thanks for replies.
Must admit I have seen very few Parcelforce vans out and about.
How much longer can they stretch this out?
It was only a bit of snow...

Agreed. I had several '24 hour service' items from Royal Mail (SPecial Delivery) and Interlink take almost a week to arrive.

And this was WELL after the big snowfalls. I think these delivery people are taking the p!ss a bit now.

And then there's Wiggle. Their stuff still gets to me within 2 days MAX. Go figure.

    Parcel arrived this morning(Sunday!)

Posties must be on overtime to clear the backlog.

Same here - both of my missing parcels arrived this morning. First time ever that I've had a Royal Mail visit on a Sunday.

Had a crazy amount of post and parcels turn up saturday, more mail than I typically get in a week.

You wouldn't be living in the real world if you didn't have the occasional problems with things. Stuff like this can and does happen to everyone. It's nothing personal. Next week
I could be the one that is dissatisfied with something.

Sounds like a good scam - don't deliver anything for a few days due to 'arctic' conditions then when the backlog builds up work Sunday for double time to clear it.

My parcels had an attempted delivery yesterday (Sunday) went to get them today 2 odd weeks after they were sent, bloke said they had a 30,000 parcel backlog at that sorting office alone!

I'd suspect that the backlog is getting cleared on a "last in, first out" basis, with earlier stuff being at the bottom of the heap.
