Mail Order Win!

Not sure if it was deliberate or not, but I ordered some new 10sp Chorus ergolevers off a certain Preston based retailer on wednesday night, having snapped the gear shift paddle off my left hand lever.
Anyway, turned up, as promised, today and they'd shipped Record and charged me for Chorus! BUAH HA HA!
I'm slightly disappointed by the near total lack of difference in look/weight though.

That's probably why you got Record, the guy in the warehouse couldn't tell the difference either!
Do the decent thing, send them back and ask for Dura Ace!0 -

I recognise they're cheaper, but in what way are they better? They're heavier and they don't say "Record" for a start...
I can see how you may prefer the new shape. I've not tried it myself, but then I was always happy with the old one."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Debate over - disgruntledgoat's view prevails on the latter (Record = kudos) point! 8)0 -

you need to let them know of the mistake.
you can't legally keep hold of the shifters. you could say nothing. but if they later realise their mistake and can should that at this stage you were on notice of their mistake, then they can ask for them back or for you to pay for them.
chances are, if you phone them up and explain the mistake they will tell you to forget about it. that way you get to keep them, have a decent defence to any claim they might subsequently make for the shifters back or payment for them, and you can sleep easy knowing you are an honest person....the bicycle is the most efficient machine ever created: Converting calories into gas, a bicycle gets the equivalent of three thousand miles per gallon...0 -
tell them, I bet they let you keep them & you feel better about it!0
