Best arm warmers?

I am after something for year round use. Mainly when the SS tops come out and the days can be a bit fresh if the sun hides.

Have to be: not over warm - and easily stashed in the jersey pockets when not used (light).

Seriously considering the Craft 3d ones. Any owners? Too warm?

Name me some!!

  • I had some trusty old failthfull lusso's that served me well for the best part of 10 years before delaminating and falling apaet. Movingg with the times I bought some new Castelli armwarmers- they are the business, very warn with an out of this world water repellant fabric, get caught in the rain to bone dry in 10 minutes.

    I'm using Lusso's.
Only 2 years old, so maybe I should begin my search for another pair, so as to not get caught short in 8 years...

I've got the spesh bg ones, lovely. Not too easy to pull down on the move, although that could be down to my enormous biceps

I used them all through last year summer mornings and rain and into the early part of winter with a ss jersey and a gilet, they still look like new. This is use probably 3-5 times a week every week from june.

The Spesh BG are excellent and the Santini ones that come from Prendas.

I find they are not overly warm, very comfortable, waterproof and still pack up nice and small enough for your pocket.

Are the white bits reflective? I have the lesser version - £11.99 from CRC - and they're good. Lasted me a bit ovwer a year now, a few loose threads but they do the trick. Cheap too.

How did you rate the crafts? And compared to the descentes?
  • Assos arm warmers are fantastic built well and not too warm, good as a wind break. may be a few pounds more but worth it and not excessively priced. They grip well at the top of the arms so don't slide down.

Yes they are reflective, not 3M so is a bit duller which suits me fine. I have big arms 17" and these were the only ones I could find that fitted without cutting off my circulation.

Waterproof huh???? Got to admit that's the first pair of waterproof ones that I've
seen or even heard about. Interesting. Do they make waterproof leg warmers also????
I might have to try those if I can find a place to buy them here in the states.

Mine delaminated on their first ride

Try some Altura Reflex armwarmers, they're good quality.

Scrumple: the craft's were quite good, not as thick as the descente were very thick and warm, great for racing when its below 10C with a gilet. Id give the crafts a 4 star, and the descente a 5, if you just have one pair, the crafts, as with the descente your arms can get too warm :D and you end up pulling them up & down all day.

Prendas Super Roubaix are excellent. Quite warm, but hey, they're arm warmers...
  • I've got some Spesh ones (cost about £25) and some Decathlon ones (cost less than a tenner). Decathlon ones are easily the best - same goes for their leg warmers.
