Pink bike??

I just bought myself a Planet X SL Pro Carbon Frameset, in black, at the time of purchase, I was tempted by the pink frameset, as I think it may look fantastic. So I am slightly regretting not getting a pink one, but I don't know whether I should sell my current one, and buy a new one, or to just man up and keep the black one. Is it just me that thinks the pink one looks good?

    Not just you, mate!
If I went for a P-X, it'd be a pink one, but with a white seat & bar tape.
If I get a TT frame this year, guess what colour it'll be?

  • The pink stealth looks f*cking fantastic, if only I had a good excuse to buy one, maybe I should start time trialling just so I can buy one??

    Sounds like a plan....

  • Hmmm, but that may be costly, anyone want to break into the Planet X warehouse with me??

Instead of replacing the whole frameset, I could buy some pink forks, it looks pretty good on the Stealth, but I am not sure whether it would look as good on the SL?? What do you think?

I think you'd better be quick on a pink bike. Too flash to be slow, know what I mean ?

That is true, or I could cycle at a moderate pace, while overtaking people cycling really slowly, and then I would look fast in relativity to them!!

The pink bike is a beauty.

Too many boring black bikes out there IMO.

I think the Planet-X is too pink. Maybe a few splashes of royal blue would balance things out a bit, but I would rather a blue bike with a few splashes of pink.

Was very tempted to get the Pink SL Pro, opted for a slightly classier Cinelli Willin in the end, but if that frame hadnt come up at a bargain price the pink planet x it would of been. Agree with with bar tape and saddle though.

The pink Pinarellos out there look feckin awesome too.

 TWO Cinelli Willin' owners  Cool....
I will seriously consider a pink Stealth, in the near future
Not enough pink in the world.
Would probably have a serious impact on the other residents on my estate!
I reckon my wee fella would absolutely love it, too :D

I have the PX in pink!!!! With white headset, white saddle and bar tape. It looks fantastic. I usually like black bikes but the PX SL Pro carbon does just not look good in black?!

Had loads of positive comments usually from women about how cool the bike colour is and that was only on two rides, before the weather kicked in. Some oiks sitting in a bus shelter even commented, postively.

It's a complete no-brainer... the pink PX is stunning and has been on my shortlist for ages. My first courier/mountain bike in Melbourne (circa 1988) was lurid pink - deinitely faster than the rest of the pack :-)

  • Damn it! That means that I will have to sell the current frame, and then buy a new one from Planet X, as I seriously doubt that anyone would have a spare pink Planet X lying around that they would prefer to downgrade in asthetics to a black Planet X.

I might have to wait until Planet X start doing another sale type thing! I really wish I had done this last week, and then I would have been able to buy it at a discounted price. Does anyone know when the next one will be? Hopefully not next Janruary!!!

Since you're in Cambridge - I'd have to say for utterly selfish reasons that if you buy a pink bike i'll inevitably won't be able to buy one. I don't think there's enough room in Cambridge for two pink bikes.

    So, selfishly, go black!

Got to say to both of you that there is already a person in town with a Pink Planet X Pro SL bike (not me though) as I have seen it a couple of times during my rides.

I just died a little bit inside!! Although, I have not seen him / her yet, so possibly until that point, I will still want to get one, and it is possible that he was a foreigner (as in not from Cambridge) and he has just visited a few times?!?!?
