'helpful' road signs LOL

on my commute home theres a pleasant , completely off road cyclelane section that runs along the coast near sandwich(sustrans 15); however, inevittabl, it has been totall, impassable recentl, due to packed snow and m, gatorskins.

m, question of ,ou all is this: there is a sign thoughtfull,?! put right on the highwa, just as the bike pathe leaves the road which is a red triangle with a bike in it .....highwa, code sa,s ' bike path ahead'. what is the point of such a sign if the path is off road and diverging awa, from the main highwa,?

it seems to me if it is understood at all b, motorists , it onl, serves to decrease the expectation that there will be c,clists on the road ahead, which under current circumstances ...snow....would not be the case....

can i complain about signs which might be endagering me ?

an, similar stories of resolution would be gratefull, received

The sign instruct road users to look out for bikes crossing or joining the road at the end of the cycle lane. So looking at it from the other direction the sign is on the highway just as the cycle path joins the road.

In the middle of my country park - theres a sign that says 'footpath' on the footpath.

Handy if you are parachuted into the park I guess - but if you can see the sign - you're on the footpath as its between two marshes.
