  • I will not be goaded by a Kiwi cricket fan, none of your players would have made my school team
  • if it hadn't been for Hadlee, NZ would have been kicked out of international cricket years ago.

That's odd ... cos Andy Caddick is a Kiwi and ummm .... didn't he open the England bowling attack?

Spoken like someone with a large chip on his shoulder that would appear to have been there for many many years.

Let's not even get started on ODI rankings/world cup performances. Not to mention the likes of Vettori, McCullum, Fleming, Cairns etc.

Besides, don't turn your anger on me, an impartial bystander in the match that is going on right now :)

No sir, I'm afraid you are mistaken!

    martin crowe ?
    chris cairns ?

but yes a new zealand fan sniggering on the first day of a test match in which we cant loose the series away to SA having jst beaten their arch rivals in the same 12 months is quite

Perhaps. Yet I will bet my left testicle that there have been many many English fans who have laughed/crowed at the All Blacks being behind at half time ... only to see the smiles wiped off their faces at full time :)

Now come on chaps! Stick to the topic at hand. You're playing South Africa! Not NZ!! :)

Sorry I just looked at your current side, perhaps I should have made that clear.

Oh come on, you clearly have a chip digging up some dead people from the browned pages of history. ODI rankings? One day cricket? Who cares? You have a higher rating in the warm up Matches, woop de do. You are ranked above only the Windies and Bangladesh in proper cricket  .

no chip on shoulder, no anger. Hadlee was great. Fleming might have got into one of the decent Test teams, but it would have been for his wonderful captaincy skills and man-management. Top bloke. Not sure he'd have got there for his batting. Vettori, McCullum, Cairns...OK, all would get into the current England team, if both Sidebottom and Onions were injured.

..oh, and ODI isn't real cricket. Besides, look at this kit for god's sake...it shouldn't be allowed.

will that be the all blacks who havent been world champions for 24 years now ?

Vettori still plays, Fleming retired a few years back, McCullum still plays and until recently Cairns was in line for an IPL contract after previously being in the rebel league.

I should've mentioned Shane Bond as well. I dare say he'd make any international side.

And I agree, our Test team isn't as strong. We also don't play that much test cricket and if we're realistic, we don't have the depth to ever get to the level of consistency the likes of sides like Australia and South Africa exhibit (we both know England are far from consistent).

Can I also point out you're only 2 slots above us in the Test ratings and behind us in the ODI's. I think we're ok for a small nation of 4m people who punch above our weight in a multitude of sports.

Ahh but my point is I wasn't the one making the comments about crowing too early because people who do it about the AB's are more often than not left with egg on their faces. That's a fact.

I didn't bring up choking or winning/not winning world cups :)

England getting a poor 1 day score in a test match against SA.

Just a great day all round. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

meh. The NZ rugby team should presumably wear pink, because of that girly dancing bit they always do before matches...;)

Oh wow, you have suddenly lost ANY credibility. Let's look at this situation shall we?

The darker skinned players in the All Black are normally first generation NZers who came to NZ as children/babies and grew up in NZ and were schooled there and learned their rugby there. The colour of their skin doesn't automatically mean they were foreigners who came to live in NZ to be in the AB's. They came to NZ because their parents brought them there as children and babies. Saying otherwise is pure and utter ignorance.

Now let's look at the England team shall we? I'll name a few off the top of my head:

    Mike Catt: South African
    Henry Paul: New Zealander
Ricki Flutey: New Zealander (current squad)
Shontayne Hape: New Zealander announced in the squad yesterday
Dylan Hartley: New Zealand (current squad)
    Leslie Vainokolo: New Zealander

Getting the picture? These players learned their trade elsewhere (with the exception of Catt I believe) and yet YOU have the audacity to say WE poach players? Wake up mate. Seriously. I'd pretty sure I remember reading an article that said England had more foreign born players at the 2003 WC than ANY other country!

It is amusing that the british press stop crowing about the AB's now their own team is littered with foreginers.

Oh and in case you didn't realise, your 'own' great Martin Johnson played in NZ for a number of years and was actually a member of the New Zealand Colts rugby team before he even pulled on an England jersey.

    Vive les All Blacks!!! [:D]

The only thing that is 'girly' about that mate is the number of hot women (often scandi's) in bars that will be like "oh wow you are from NZ? can you do the haka?"

You can guess where it goes from there

The best thing is KP getting exposed as the one-dimensional slogger with no regard to the match situation or the team, that he is. Gotta love his shot selections for his recent dismissals. 8)
