The barrel thingies in Shimano STI Levers

It's the barrel thing in the lever you put the brake cable through.See picture below. Well, mine broke today, going down a slope (an ideal time) - the ends sheared off. Does anyone know if you can buy spares and, if so, where? I don't fancy buying a new lever just because of this.

Yeah, I had to proceed with caution for 14.5 of the 15 miles home!
That's what I'll do tomorrow. I'm going to change the handlebars on the crosser while I'm at it, so am going to be on the mtb for the rest of this week.FCN 2-4.

Try Robin in Bridgewater.

In fact most Shimano Dealers should be able to oblige though they could sting you for the postage if you want it ordereed asap and they haven't enough to order a carriage paid order from Madison which was £100 IIRC.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
