as the topic suggests ladies and gents,
I am looking for a half decent bike computer, to sotre usual junk, mph, NOT km, distance...pref 1 that dont reset itself after 100 miles if possible.......oh and 1 that is easy as hell to configure lol,

I got a cheap happy shopper my mums joblot special from Wiko's , gotta admit worked nicely....untill a bit rain hit the sensor and then it moved on my forks etc...

not looking to spend huges amouts people....any suggestions?

That's because you clicked on the link for my bike in my sig.

To elaborate, I'm basically saying just go for whichever Cateye computer you can afford.

All easy to set up, all work in both KPH and MPH and all run to about 99,999miles I think.

Oh, and VDO computers are supposed to be pretty good too apparently.

I had a Cateye micro wireless, which was very nice, and have just purchased a Strada which also seems very nice too.

As far as I can see, they tend to be much the same price regardless of where you buy them. I'd try the usuals first, CRC, Wiggle, Merlin etc. You're bound to find one you like there.

I've got a Cateye Micro Wireless, it's been absolutely flawless, battery lasted about 10 months, which I can live with.

I really don't like the Cateye Strada, they've just tried too hard to make it small so it's a bugger to work. IMO Sigma make better thought out products.

I have a VDO which is nice (though still affected by my LED lights). Good build quality. Not had a Cateye computer but the build quality and design of their lights is so bad it puts me off the rest of their products a bit.

I am looking at a Cateye Vectra Wireless Cycle Computer, will this do all i wonat? distance in miles not km etc.. and will go over 100 miles before resetting itself,

somebodt meanions a sigma, I found 1 of these not so long ago back while walking my dog, I dont a look on the internet and it was approx £50-£60 unit to buy, but i couldnt find the wires for sale anywhere for it LOL

The Vectra wireless is quite basic, doesn't have an average speed or elapsed time, if neither of those bother you, then it's perfectly good. The Micro Wireless is quite a bit better.
