LMAO run up and down your stairs
get a 2nd hand excercise bike or Xtrainer.
just get some cheap roadie type tyres & some cheapy lights then get out and ride!
although its a pain in the arse changing tyres all the timeDont look at it-ride it! they are tools not f*cking ornaments

Skipping rope, punchbag and some cheap weights.
Use each correctly with body weight exercises and thou shalt be fit and toned for very few pennies.0 -

Check out Charles Bronson's (the long term prisoner not the actor) Solitary Fitness. In amongst the wierdness there are some great routines for staying fit which use absolutely no equipment and require a very small (cell like in fact) space to do!0

yeh press-ups and sit ups are a good idea, if you put it into youtube you get loads of videos sudgesting different routines and exercises. then its just a case of motivation and persiverance.

Buy the following: Total Gym, prob get one on EBAY for under a ton. Works really well.
Argos Medicine ball, 28 quid.
Argos weights/dumbells, about 25 quid.
Argos resistance set, bag full of variious rubber bands/tubes. 20 quid.
One of those things you see on the TV, you can do chin ups, press us etc. It fits onto the door frame, about 25 quid or so.
Turbo/ and an old bike, for bad weather training, sprints etc. About 50 quid.
I've got all the above, plus loads more and I use them all the time. No excuse not to train with a bit of snow around...0 -
Step Ups onto a solid table/dining chair, with good technique great glut exercises for all us cyclists with Glut insomnia...!

How many sessions do you plan?
I do at least one session of hip flexor stretching, glute exercises and core work. Maybe with some strength stuff consisting primarily of squat jumps some sort of hamstring exercise (to do the antagonist). Then a cardio session.0 -
Get a pull up bar, I got one for about a tenner off Amazon a while ago and do a few sets if I get bored of work.

Perhaps start at 50 of each and build up. If it takes more than half an hour you're allowed to change the rules to "see how far through the workout I can get in 30 minutes".0 -
Burpees are hard work - they were a favourite when we did kickboxing training - I often led the class. Very good all round conditioner. Did a lot of them in the RM POC Fitness Test too - after which I was very nearly sick. :oops:
My home workout kit consists of:
1 pull up bar (Powerbar - much kinder to doorframes!)
1 heavy (30kg) punch bag - which I hang off the pull up bar (it can take 100kgs)
1 skipping rope
2 sets of dumbells (variable weights)
1 barbell
2 stout chairs
1 settee with solid "arms"
1 swiss ball
1 exercise mat.
This is more than enough.
The home routine twice a week, also run, cycle and surf a lot) , which takes about 40 mins is:
A few minutes punchbagging
A few minutes skipping
Stretch
10 Lunges with 2 x 15kg dumbells
10 One legged squats with 2 x 15kg
40 calf raises (step needed) with 2 x 15kg
10 normal press ups then (no rest) 10 clapping press ups
45 press ups with a hand on a chair and feet on swiss ball (good for core stability) going lower than "ground" level
20 press ups with a each hand on a dumbell (more intense)
20 pulls ups
15 single arm bent over rows with 20kgs (using a sofa arm to lean on) each side
10 handstand press ups
20 lateral raises with 10kg in each hand
10 "chinese" press ups (hard to explain but very tricky
15 one arm triceps overhead presses with 15kg
20 bicep curls (15kg each arm)
12ish concentration curls (15kg)
80 crunches
20ish leg raises hanging off the pull up bar
Stretch

sit back in front of stove and think of the gas bill.
never really done excercise for its own sake, not enough hours in the day as far as i'm concerned: theres always jobs to be done or fun to be had which provide a workout as a side benefit.0 -

Argos have a sale on gym stuff. Get yourself a bike or cross trainer.
I bought a cross trainer last year and love it. Do two hours on that and you know you have had a good work out0 -
Recently i bought iron Gym chinning bar. It's very easy to set, no need to screw it into the door.... nice way to work all uper body...If I can bicycle, I bicycle.
