Me too, not been out properly since before xmas. Luckily we`ve had no more snow up here so hoping for a good ride on Saturday.0

Yep, definitely wish it would just go away now, especially after today's commute with the stuff blowing right in my face. Doing 1 ride in it was fun, but the novelty has worn off.Santa Cruz Chameleon

We had another load overnight. Currently sat at home, waiting for the roads to clear a bit before going to work.0

Our snow in London started melting yesterday, woke up this morning to find another 3 inches and its still going! But yes, I need to trek to the post office!0

It would be nice being able to put the slicks back on the commuter bike, the knobblies are starting to get me down
Oh and getting out on the trails would be nice, last time we managed it was between Christmas and New Years and that was shocking conditions.0 -

Well, I prefer the snow to what Leeds currently has. It's currently a giant ice rink! Everything has frozen and there's black ice everywhere!
This is when the council should be gritting, not when there's snow on the ground! The buses can't cope with the number of people that have decided to catch them, roads are clogged up with people walking down them.
Good thing I was on me bike 8)It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

I dont mind the snow riding so much, but I am really beginning to feel the need, the need, for speed.
Plus, now it's started melting a bit, there seems to be more patches of glass-like ice hiding under the snow, just waiting to put you on your ass.0 -
Snow has gone but the ice is hanging around.
Did a trail run in the dark (with headtorch) last night - over fields, through woods. It was either under six inches of water, deep mud or hidden ice. Needless to say I posted a sh1te time but at least I didn't break myself.0 -

We've still got sh!t piles of snow, and where its been scraped/shovelled off the road, we had a lovely layer of sheet ice this morning  School closed, so I had find someone to dump the kids on this morning and I didnt get to work until 10.
So..... Yes I'm well Fjooked off with it now2014 Whyte T-129S0 -
Today was lethal here, any bit of a path or backroad that wasn't thick smooth ice was coated with a thin layer of black ice. Crashes everywhere, a 10 minute journey on foot took me 20"Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

So what bike do you ride again Colin? You never did show us.0 -
He told me yesterday. It's a Fury I believe.
Although POIDH still applies0 -
I don't mind snow, the glassy ice we have now kinda wrinkles my knickers though
Caz xx0 -
we actually had proper snow on the roads for the first time today (Llandudno - so near the sea that it never really stays on the roads in any significant thickness until you get up into the hills)
In many ways we ve had the best of both worlds with not enough snow to disrupt day to day life but, with a 5 min drive you can be up to your axles in fun! Kinda see what you lot have been whinging about as I very very nearly became a crash statistic today!)We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

We've had between a few inches and a couple of feet on the ground for the entirety of the past month and I can't wait for more. What gets on my breasts is when it doesn't really do anything and the snow slowly solidifies into ice. It's pretty hairy walking outside at the moment, never mind riding.0

ahh come on guys black ice is half the fun (apart from when a mercedes is sliding at u)0

No Ive been out riding moto x and extreme sledding(see previous thread) But even my CRF450 doesnt like the snow anymore, its that cold the fuel is to cold for the engine and its miss-firing!
So ive a firm grip sir  , but when the roads to any good DH tracks are covered in ice and 6 inch's of snow, Theres not much hope of reaching the car park!!!80 x 80 is not enough pixels!!!!

I'm well pee'd off with it! Not been able to work for nearly a month now!
Keep trying to get out on bike (I'm proper sh1t in the snow) at least a couple of times a week, have even resorted to a bit of running now.
Call me a dirty old man, but I can't get the image of a sparrowlegged beauty with wrinkly knickers out of my head :?0
