Interesting article on Cycling weekly website with comments from Juan Antonio Flecha. He says that they are not doing power output tests at the training camp. Apparently this is different to most team camps. This is also interesting compared to the early days of BC success, where apparently tests were everything. This was commented on by Cav in his book. Is this a departure in thinking or just a difference between the track and the road?

  • haven't all the riders data already been recorded and this particular training camp not at the correct point in the training cycle for any other testing to be beneficial at the mo?

They'd only be disappointed when they did test as they would all be 12 watts less than me.
