Looking for routes around Keswick.

i have just moved to keswick cumbria and an looking for some short trails in this area short of grabbing an o.s map and just riding or following the local trails... does any one know of any good ones they have ridden..

Loads of routes around Keswick, get yourself to Keswick mountain bikes they should be able to supply you with some route cards.

Alternativley download GPS co-ordinates for memory map etc from sites like MTB sharp or bikely.

Finally Whinlatter is a few miles outside Keswick with the waymarked Altura trail.

Lattrigg / Skiddaw - just ride up through the leisure centre, turn left out the back and then 1st right up the bridleway.

You can then link into the tour of Blencathra / Mosedale / Skiddaw House routes as well.

The Old Coach Road / Raise / St Johns in the vale / Helvellyn routes - loads of options here.
