20mm bolt thru Grease/ Oil/ Dry?

When using a 20mm bolt thru front and 12mm rear are you supposed to put grease on the axel, oil it or run it dry?

well as nothing moves on them you just need to make sure the bearing races dont seize on it so some anti seize

I always put a very thin smear of grease on through axles (both Maxle and Fox) as I've found that they can seize occasionally.

yup grease um up, ive almost destroyed a pike axle that was seazed in, a 24h soak in plus gas and lots of hammering and prying later it eventually came out coverd in ally oxide.
