Nice compacted or frozen snow all the way with some great off piste off Claife Heights!
No ice!!

    Thought it was gonna be hard going but was nice hard compacted snow nearly all the way round apart from the accent to Iron Keld. Some dodgy icy bits but well recommended.

    I`m hoping to get out this weekend, might try one of these. It`s been quite warm, compared to recent weeks, for the last few days and most of the snow locally has melted. Hopefully the weather will be kind at least till next Monday.

    There will still be snow up there but as long as it`s not frozen solid we should have a good day.
  • there is now virtually NO snow in Kendal and its 3 degrees and melting as i write. Trail Quest on Sunday could well still be on!
