What is the best way of transporting carbon framed bikes on the roof, will I damage the tubing if i use one which clamps on the the frame?

You won't damage the frame but you can just put a cloth round the clamp point anyways. I use a rear hatch thule on and i would quite happily go anywhere at any speed with any bike on the back its that good.0

Some padding is a good idea I think. I got some rubber foam lagging that a bike came packed with that's perfect.0
