    Ok realise this may cause some embarassment to admit to, could any owners PM me then, I have an issue with the gear shifters? on mine

    They are Sora or 2200 shifters common to many bikes

    ok, koOl, my shifters dont seem to be doing anything, I've not had the chance to take the bike out-dark when get home-no lights, mucking about in the house-the wee 'thumb shift levers dont seem to move the control cables at all?

    Have you tried swinging the brake lever in?
